Q: How long will my repair take?
A: We repair most faults within 1-2 days, we also offer a same-day priority service (subject to availability of parts if needed). If we need to order parts then we can normally get these next day delivery. We realise how difficult being without your computer can be and we will always try to get it back to you as quickly as possible. We don’t send anything away, all repairs are completed in our Chichester workshop or on-site.
Q: How much do you charge for computer repairs?
A: We will always offer you a fixed price for the repair, for example if your laptop screen needs replacing we will give you a total price for the work before starting. In the event we need to diagnose the fault first we charge £30 labour which is waived if you go ahead with the repair. We don’t want you to have any nasty surprises; we want you to know exactly what your repair will cost before we complete the work.
Q: How can you offer such low pricing compared to other repair services in the area?
A: Most of our work comes in via recommendations and repeat business; we don’t have to spend a massive amount on advertising. We have no shop front so costs are low; all work is undertaken in our workshop in Chichester. We also believe in charging a fair price for the work we do.
Q: Why would I use you rather than a large high street shop such as PC World?
A: We pride ourselves on offering a personal service; you will speak directly to the person doing your repair so you can explain the problem in detail. We can turnaround repairs fast and efficiently, often completing the repair the same day or within 24 hours unlike big brand stores that often quote 5 days+. We don’t send our computers away to a service centre for repair all repairs are undertaken in our workshop in Chichester.
Q: How do I know you are a reputable company? I hear so much about cowboy shops and scams.
A: We are very proud to be members of the West Sussex County Council Trading Standards “Buy with Confidence” scheme. We have been vetted and approved by Trading Standards to ensure that we operate in a legal, honest and fair way. Q: Is my computer going to be sent somewhere for repair?
A: No absolutely not, we undertake all repairs here in our workshop in Chichester.
Q: Can you replace broken laptop screens?
A: Yes of course, this is one of the most common repairs we do and is much cheaper than buying a new laptop. Call us for a quote, we stock most laptop screens and can swap those we have in stock the same day!
Q: Is my data safe?
A: We conform to the Data Protection Act and any data we hold is held in strict confidence. Any customer data that is stored is always stored password protected and in encrypted format.
IMPORTANT: It is your responsibility to ensure you have a backup of your data prior to bringing in your device or the arrival of our technician to your home or business. Under no circumstance is Bluefish Computer Services or its employees responsible for customer’s data – neither before, during nor after service. Bluefish Computer Services shall not be responsible by our negligence or otherwise at any time for any loss, alteration or corruption of any data, software or files or accidental file deletion. Bluefish Computer Services are not required to advise or remind the customer of appropriate backup and other procedures.
If you do not have a backup of your software or data, we can provide you with data backup at an additional cost, however, we cannot guarantee the integrity of the data when backing up.
Q: What about the warranty on repairs?
A: All parts we supply come with a 90-day warranty, if a part we supply fails within this timeframe then we will replace it no quibbles. We want you to recommend us to other people and so we will do everything we can to ensure you have a good experience!
